We congratulate Katelyn Hertel on winning the Born in ’93 Zinch Scholarship!

More about Katelyn:

“Hey! My name is Katelyn Hertel (but mostly everyone calls me Katy). I love to play sports, but the ones that I actually compete in include, gymnastics, cheerleading, and track. I also enjoy volunteering at some of my church’s functions, the local middle school library, and at other community events. I hope to become even more involved in my school, church, and community in the next few years, and I cannot wait to see what they will bring!”

Check back soon to see more about Katelyn and her winning experience!

It’s as easy as 3.142… Just ask Arpan Prabhu our Easy as Pi III Zinch Scholarship Winner!

Congratulations Arpan!

Here is a little more about Arpan:

“Curiosity may have killed the cat, but it is the fuel of my existence. I am an inquisitive person who enjoys thinking and approaching problems from different angles. As such, my pastimes include chess and reading mystery novels. Curiosity has also precipitated my interest in science/business and the innovations that, when used simultaneously, both disciplines can bring. I have, if you will, gotten my feet wet already; I volunteer at the local hospital and keep online subscriptions to business magazines.”

Don’t forget to apply for the Easy as Pi V Zinch Scholarship! The deadline is today 30!

Also check back on Sunday to see the winner of the Digital Portfolio Scholarship!

Here is more about Kumesh’s winning experience:

When/where did you hear about Zinch and the “Do No Evil Zinch Scholarship”?
One of my teacher recommended Zinch to me. I heard about the “Do No Evil Zinch Scholarship” when Zinch.com matched up my profile with certain scholarships based on my interests.

What was your reaction when you found out that you had won the “Do No
Evil Zinch Scholarship”?
“O my god, my first scholarship!!”

What was your parents reaction?
“Wow!!! Congrats!! I’m so proud of you!”

How are you more than a test score?
Participation in my community while attending student government
meetings on regular basics; trying to benefit the environment,
symbolize myself as more than a test score.

Good luck Kumesh!

Easy As Pi II Scholarship Winner

Congratulations are in order for Noah Hutton! Winner of the Easy as Pi II Scholarship! Noah is a hardworking student from Maryland and is involved in an array of activities including school plays, track and field, tech crew, student body government and an environmental education competition. Noah is planning to graduate this upcoming year but has not decided which college he will attend. We wish him luck in his pursuits!

Here is a little more about Noah:

What was your reaction when you found out that you had won the “Easy as Pi II Scholarship”?
Shock and disbelief.

What was your parents reaction?
They thought it was a scam.

What is one outrageous (as in crazy, impulsive, dangerous, etc…) thing you want to do before you die?
I have always wanted to learn how to surf and/or travel the world studying exotic ecosystems and animals.

How are you more than a test score?
I consider myself a well rounded student. I participate in over 5 clubs, all of my school’s plays that I am able to, and I am my school’s top runner. None of these things show up when looking at my GPA and SAT score, which are effected negatively and positively by everything I do.

Thanks to everyone that participated. Congratulations and Good luck Noah!
