With the Federal tax situation put off this past January, most of us have not even received our end of year forms from finincial institutions to be able to file our taxes.

So the deadlines in some cases are totally bogus since we can’t even file yet!!!! If FAFSA as a federal entity can’t grasp this situation then we as tax payers and students are really up up the creek!

If you filed your 2011 tax returns you can use those amounts in place as similar information. After you file your 2012 taxes you can go back to the FASFA website to have all your new information retrieved from the IRS. So don’t wait for your taxes to be done to fill out the FASFA…do it now.

What happens if we missed the deadline by a day or 2? Will we not get it? Do they throw it away? He will be a Senior and has had it all the other years but we were given an incorrect date to file and found out after it had passed.
